    Hi!
    This has been working like a dream, but recently stopped communicating with the car. Other parts still work like reading instructions, checking spare parts etc. I recently updated Windows 11 from 2025H2 to 2026H2.
    Im using a Mongoose JLR bought from d5t5.

    Attaching screenshot from trying to press Diagnostics. The swedish parts translates to something like:

    Cannot read the file or composition ... or one of its values. A Program Control Principal has blocked this file. (Exemption from HRESULT: 0x800711C7)

    Windows also opens a browser tab informing about "Smart App Control".

    Thanks for sharing this.
    My personal recommendation is to use a dedicated computer with as less as possible 3rd party software installed. Especially no 3rd party antivirus, security, firewall and VPN software. As those clearly interfere with the vehicle communication. The lesser useless running background processes, the better.
    Using your cluttered everyday machine for stuff like Vdash or VIDA is always a bad idea.
    And Vdash most probably has some sort of anti tampering routines. It most likely detects software like Wireshark or the Npcap drivers and crashes on purpose, to prevent reverse engineering of how Vdash works.

    @toXicity First off all contact the Vdash support for the wrong VIN decoding. And as additional info, some CEMs are known to be impossible or extremly slow to crack by brute force. And as your car seems to be an ICUP(Android Automotive) car, which is the case for all cars from MJ22 onwards, it's impossible to crack the CEM. You will need to obtain the VGM and CEM pin via an official VIDA subscription and Wireshark, or with OrBit.

    @Mokama It simply is like this. You have done a modification which has some unavoidable flaws. It's also mentioned in this Wiki article https://d5t5.com/article/TFT-retrofit that DSTC can't be deactivated after doing this retrofit.
