CEM config change not persisting – XC90 P2 MY2013 (USA)

Writing CEM “Service interval” finishes with “All items are processed”, but after re-detecting the vehicle the current value is still “10000 km”. Tried 5 times: “User defined in DIM” via the wizard, Car configuration and the old configurator, plus “15000 km” as a test. Battery charged, voltage 12.4–12.5 V during writes.
As a result, the DIM functions show “Service interval in CEM is not set to user defined”, and Trip computer units / Temperature units return NEGATIVE [22] – Conditions not correct. Odometer to km and language change worked fine earlier.

You basically have to set everything to user defined in the CEM settings and than set up what you want in the DIM. Of course you have to shut down the car and lock it for at least 15 minutes after changing the CEM settings and than again after changing the DIM settings.

UPDATE – SOLVED
The problem is fixed. D5T5 support confirmed it was a VDASH glitch that prevented CEM configuration changes from being applied. After their fix (03.11.2026) everything works. Thank you, Pavel, and thanks to everyone who offered advice.
For anyone with the same issue (P2, import car, trip computer still in mpg / °F):
- Charger connected, ignition position II, engine off.
- Car configuration → Others → Service interval → "User defined in DIM" → APPLY CHANGES.
- Detect vehicle again and check that "Current value in the car" really shows "User defined in DIM". Don't trust the green "All items are processed" alone.
- Only then, in DIM: Temperature units to C, Trip computer units l/100km (EU), DIM service interval (km / months).
If DIM returns NEGATIVE [22] – Conditions not correct, the CEM still isn't set to user defined. If the value keeps reverting and SOFTWARE history shows every attempt as "CEM RESTORE", contact support – it's not your fault.

Hi,
My problem is more difficult I think,
I change head lamp option from H7 to Bixenon,and commit changes,
After rebooting, CEM looks like dead, but I have new lights v:D,
I try relod or recover CEM bbut with no lack.
Car is now blind.
Is there anything I can do now??
