Sunroof Problem
-
Hello, my 2005 S60 doesn't have a sunroof, so I transferred the roof panel from a 2004 S60R to my car. I also installed the roof wiring and the sunroof switch, but the sunroof isn't working at all. The sunroof fuse is installed and there is electricity in the fuse box. I would appreciate your help with this. Thank you in advance..

Amazing project. You will need a good meter and keep following you wiring from the fuse box to the control console. connect one probe to ground, anywhere to the car body metal. Then with the other probe you will now be able to see the 12V+ hot. You can also directly connect power to the motor ,drive to see if it runs. Maybe you can find an electrical drawing of your Volvo on the internet: https://duckduckgo.com/?q=volvo+2005+S60+elecrical+drawing&t=newext&atb=v486-1&ia=web
if you are not electrical talented, find an electrician or technician to help you to isolate the roof control in the main wiring. -
@axelwg Thank you. I've set aside my whole day for this tomorrow. There's 12V on one pin of the sunroof motor socket, but when I press the button, there's no interaction on any of the pins. According to my research, the UEM module inside the rearview mirror also needs to be replaced. I haven't replaced the mirror yet; I'll try tomorrow.
