@V40 after login into VIDA first go to computer settings in VIDA and disable the VIN decoding
Than go to define vehicle profile and check that something like VIN decoder off is written in red letters next to the VIN box
Don't click on "read"!
Enter your VIN
Manually define your car by chosing the latest model year, an engine most similar to yours, transmission and steering
Click on OK
Check if the repair menu is available

If this doesn't work you will need to uninstall VIDA and re-install it in another language. Some localizations are incomplete and lack some data for specific cars. English seems to be the most complete version.

@T5-T6-Schnappi Thank you. I followed your advice, uninstalled the Chinese version, and reinstalled the English version. Everything is now working fine, and I can access all the vehicle maintenance information. However, as a user in a Chinese-speaking region, I do find it a bit difficult to read these English maintenance manuals at the moment. But this is already good enough, and I can use translation software to read them.

Works fine using a generic J2534 pass-through (V165 / V160 JLR SDD). Encountered a problem with SQL during installation, but resolved it by uninstalling all previous SQL instances. Thank you.

Thanks for the link @ZaanTerror, it worked flawless on a fresh installed Win 11 Pro 25H2 image!

Tried several different VIDA before but this is by far the easiest to set up.

Thanks for the link @ZaanTerror. I've been using VIDA for many years that I installed on a Windows 7 machine and I've tried many times (unsuccessfully) to get it to work on Windows 10. Your setup worked flawlessly and I'll be trying it on a Windows 11 machine as soon as I get it next week.

Got the Windows 11 laptop today earlier than expected. It's an older machine running Windows 11 22H2 and the VIDA setup worked flawlessly I'm using it simply for VIDA and no intention to update Windows. Thanks again @ZaanTerror

You can safely install Windows updates. My Windows 11 25h2 is up to date and as far as i known there are no updates that break VIDA.
