    Do the LEDs in the adaptor light up, when connect it to the car?
    Where did you buy your adaptor?
    Did you try a different USB port?
    Did you try to simply reboot your computer, as Windows sometimes locks up certain files until you reboot it.
    Did you use the correct connecting order? 1.Adaptor in the car, 2. Ignition on, 3. Cable in the USB port.
    Do you have any third party anti-virus software installed? If yes, disable, or even better, uninstall it.
    You can also try a re-install. Uninstall Vdash, reboot your computer, download and install a fresh copy of Vdash https://d5t5.com/sw/vdash.exe and see if it updates itself after starting it.

    Open the cab door
    Put the brakes in D, then P
    Release the brake pedal, repress the brake pedal, and double flash the lights twice in a row

    Release the brake pedal and you will find the vehicle in second gear
