Hi All. just bought recently this V40 from Japan. Not sure if it's P1 or P3. I want to change frequency of the radio. I don't really need to do something else. I can borrow genuine DICE interface. What version of the VDASH do I need to buy to make that happen?

You can use only the latest version of VDash, so just download and follow the instructions for CEM PIN decoding and then for the process and price of the conversion.

@joroartcorp thanks for your answer. I just wanted to learn the price first and compare that with dealership price and then see where I'd go.

Yesterday started the the process of getting the CEM PIN. It's been more than 24 hours and it's still running. Is that normal?

Not normal... mine on V40 2013 took around 7-8 hours. What are you using as a pass through device and do you have the car battery connected to external power?

The process been finished. It took 1 day and 7 hours. Yes the car was connected to the external power supply. The pass through is genuine toyota mongoose. I am in New Zealand, may be that's why it took so long. Will the pin be added to the system automatically? Because the process is finished, but I didn't see the pin itself.

@filviktor the PIN will be added to the vdash database, but you won't get to see it.
If your V40 is a P3, you will most likely need to change the IHU with a localized used one. https://svdns.info/2023/08/27/so-youve-bought-an-import-volvo/

@T5-T6-Schnappi It looks like for the cars after 2014, my one is 2013, should be ok, at least I hope so.

So in this case just go to Car Configuration and select the option you want to do and start the process. It will show you then the price.

@joroartcorp I did that, but the price wasn't shown, everything was greyed out, there was no option available. I asked support team, they replied that I needed to buy a flat config which costs 129 euro. That is more expensive than getting it done at dealership. So I got it done at a dealership cheaper. I understand, probably, buying flat config gives me more opportunities, but I don't need those, the only thing I needed is changing the frequencies, which was cheaper at a dealership.
