NEED HELP, URGENT Volvo XC60 Airbag Configuration Problems U230056 Fault Code
-
I recently installed a used airbag module in my Volvo XC60. The used module came from an XC90, but the part numbers were identical (P32221372).
Upon connecting the new used module, I received error code U230056 and other faults related to the pretensioners. I then ran the SRS Configure in VDASH. Now, all the pretensioner fault codes have disappeared, but U230056 is still present, as is U230055.
Does anyone know what I can do to resolve this? I tried contacting support but received no response.

Hi jv,
No sure if I can help. But out of curiosity, what do the fault codes U230055 and U230056 mean?
Thanks.

@jv did you compare the software numbers of the old and new module? Same hardware doesn't mean same software.
Did you do any configuration changes besides SRS reconfiguration?
Did you have a powerfull enough charger attached to the car while running vdash?
Did the donor car have exactly the same safety features than your car? U230055/U230056= wrong configuration / missing hardware or sensors. -

- I compare only Hardware Number
2.No, only SRS config function
3.Yes, Stable 13.8 Volts
4.I don't think so, the donor car was an XC90 and mine is an XC60. But, as I said, the sensor faults disappeared after I did the Configuration.

@jv vdash isn't 100% bullet proof. It's possible that the reconfiguration messed something up. Your codes basically mean that the software configuration isn't compatible with the hardware of your car.
This can be caused by a wrong CEM configuration or wrong software in a module. I don't know what the vdash SRS wizard actually does and if it tampers parameters in the CEM or SRS, but it's possible that it didn't work as intended. It's also possible that your car hasn't been at the dealer for a longer time and lacks some software updates, while the donor module had newer software that is incompatible with the rest of your car. You might need to visit a dealer, or someone with an official VIDA subscription, who can look up the fault codes and fault trace to possibly solve your problem if the vdash support doesn't come up with a solution. -
Thank you @jv and @T5-T6-Schnappi. Below are screenshots of the SRS dialog box for 2 different modules which differ only by serial numbers. The software numbers shown are the same for both.
@T5-T6-Schnappi would those be all the software numbers we need to check when trying to replace an original faulty module with a used module from another car?
Thanks.

@jv, how long did it take VDASH to complete the SRS configuration for you? Was the total cost EUR99, assuming you have no subscription? I supposed we will be prompted for payment by the configuration wizard at some point?
I, too, am considering the possibility of taking this route. So, any insights/experience will be much appreciated.
Thanks!
