VDASH error codes following headlight replacement
-
Hello, following a frontal right side collision and replacement of the headlight and HCR unit with used items, there is a displayed error message "Dipped beam malfunction" when the lights are switched on. All lights work correctly
Connecting VDASH displays the following error codes:
CEM-B14C281 Head Lamp Input. Bus signal/Message failures. Invalid serial data received.
HCMR-B15A771 Headlamp control module Fan Diag spin speed Error (stall). Mechanical failures. Actuator stuck.
HCMR-B15215 Headlamp control module High driver side channel 1. General electrical failures. Circuit short to battery or open.
Erasing codes does not clear these codes.
I'm unclear if these codes are the result of the collision, if so why do they not clear?
I have also been told that a new, not used, HCM should be purchased as it needs to be programmed in VIDA.
I would like to programme the used HCM, is this possible? If so, how, as the original unit was broken so I cannot clone from the original.
Please can someone outline the next steps I should take to resolve this problem?
Many thanks

I have the same problem on my xc90 mk2 2018 - i replaced the left headlight with a used one and fitted the original light module to it but the daytime running light / indicator led module (led ballast) was physically broken - when i fit a brand new uncoded module i get similar error codes…. The indicator flashes normally but the dash indicator blinks fast as if a bulb is blown and the daytime running light doesnt work in that light - can this be coded to the car using vdash ?
